She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Lamar Hughey and Addie Olivia Hughey of Hueytown; and her sister Myra Jane Chase of Bessemer, Alabama.. She is survived by: her husband Franklin Ronny Townsend of Gardendale, Alabama; her sons, Dustin Chad Defnall (Christen) of Odenville and Steven Patrick Defnall (Lori) of Smith Lake; her grandchildren, Ethan, Zack, Jill and Max; her brother-in-law Nathan Chase; and her uncle Billy.
