She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Harig and Peggy S. Harig; and her brother-in-law Graham Davis. She is survived by: her husband Donald L. Davis; her sons, Kenneth "Kenny" M. Davis and Mark L. Davis (Cassie); her grandchildren, Cole, Ava and Hayes Davis; and her siblings-in-law, Gilbert, Cynthia Davis, Martha Davis and Linda Segers.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Greater Birmingham Humane Society or American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in memory of Denise.
