It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elmer Motte M. D. of Gardendale, Alabama, who passed away on November 2, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Melba Jean; his siblings, Douglas Motte (Barbara) and Vizella Barnett; his daughters, Dajwanna Bethune (Rick), Trina Chambers (Ock) and Deetra Graben (Rusty); his grandchildren, Lauren Matson (John), Whitney Lehmann (Will), Lana Thomas (Shawn) and Dena Graben; and his great grandchildren, Clara, Anders Matson, Tobias, Titus, Amos, Arden Lehmann and Makenna Thomas.

If you would like to make a donation in his memory, some of his favorite charities are Samaritan's Purse, Big Oak Ranch and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A donation could also be made to East Gardendale Baptist Church where he was a member.
