He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Ballenger King. He is survived by: his children, Barry King (Mary Ann), Lynne McDonald (Bill) and Heather Anderson (Brett); his grandchildren, Grant McDonald, Ben King (Erica), Joseph King, John King, Isabella, Isaac, Isaiah and Ian Anderson; and his siblings, Fred King (Kay), Phillip King (Celia), Carolyn Whatley and Mary Sue Higgins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Gardendale Baptist Tabernacle, Tabernacle Christian School or St. Jude Hospital.
