He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia "Priss" Osborn Evancho; his parents, Johnnie Evancho and Rose "Rosie" Evancho; and his sisters, Rosemarie Olive and Patricia Duchock.
He is survived by: his sons, Sean Rothe (Aimee) and Matthew Rothe; his grandsons, Jared Rothe and Jackson Rothe; and his sister Mary "Tooter" Connell (William "Butch"). He is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gardendale Heritage Funeral Home (2214 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL 35071). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers Rusty's family requests that donations be made to Brookside Cemetery Fund in c/o St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church.
