She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Painter and Tressie Young Painter; her husband Harold L. Smith; and her siblings, Sonny Painter, Paul Painter, Randall Painter and Rita Sue Seals.
She is survived by: her sons, David A. Smith (Judy), Russell H. Smith (Barbara) and H. Keith Smith (Mary); her grandchildren, Amy Smith McCoy (Chris), Leslie Smith, April Birchfield (Jeremy), Thomas Clark (Shea), Robby Clark (Amanda), Melissa Smith Moore (Mitchell), Shelly Smith Chaudhari (Dhaval), Luke Smith (Kasey) and Micah Smith; and her nephews, Terry Painter, Bruce Painter, Troy Painter and Brett Painter. She is also survived by her niece that was like a daughter, Wendy Painter Stewart; a host of great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
