Michael will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. He was predeceased by: his father Hilton Nelms; and his brother Mark Nelms. He is survived by: his wife Melanie Nelms; his daughters, Nicole Hall (Danny) of Tuscumbia, AL. and Ashley Hall (Jacob) of Hartford, KY.; his brother Barry Nelms of Hayden, AL.; his grandchildren, Maddie, Hilton, Laura Kate and Lillie Hall; and his pet Lucy Boo.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Gardendale Heritage Funeral Home (2214 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL 35071). A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
