He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Shugart and Kathleen Shugart; his brother Andy Shugart; his son-in-law Joey Lydecker; his brother-in-law Johnny Templin; and his father-in-law Joseph Mize.
He is survived by: his wife Terri Shugart; his daughter Stacey Shugart Lydecker-Harrell; his son-in-law David Harrell; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Sanders, Lisa Templin and Patricia Mize.
