With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wilma Ruth Burden of Gardendale, Alabama, who passed away on January 11, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Jerry Neal Burden; her children, Kathy Burden Brooks (Allen), Jerry Michael Burden (Robin) and Susan Burden Belcher (Johnny); her grandchildren, Michael Brooks (Katie), Andrew Burden, Aaron Burden (Lesley), Michelle Barker (Kristian), Maegan Fortenbury (Tyler), Blake Belcher and Matthew Brooks; her sisters, Elouise Thomas (Moody) and Willene Creel (Moody); her parents, Clyde Moody and Verdie Moody; and her siblings, Benny Moody and Ellen Wolfe (Bradford). She was also cherished by 6 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, Decatur, Alabama.
