It is with sadness that the passing of Wayne Simpson of Gaylesville, Alabama is shared. Wayne, born on August 22, 1936, passed away on September 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Hugh Alton Simpson, Sr. and Lottie Mae Sutton Simpson; his wife Mary Christine Valentine Simpson; his siblings, David Simpson, Jr., Earl Simpson, Sr., Jack Simpson and Alma Knight; and his grandson Nick Simpson.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Simpson (Kathy), Steve Simpson, Cindy Martin (Billy) and Robin Langley (Jerry); his sisters, Janet Renfroe (Jack), Nelta Wood (Doug) and JoAnn Smith; and his close friends, Ricky Wheeling and Jack Renfroe. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mason Funeral Home (320 GA-48, Summerville, GA 30747). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel (320 GA-48, Summerville, GA 30747).
