He was predeceased by: his parents, Claudia Caesar and Mary Senchana "Sennie" Thompson Capshaw; his granddaughter Candace Capshaw; and his siblings, Claudine Starrett, Julia Ivey, Lucile Capshaw, Patsy Skipper and Hershel Capshaw.
He is survived by: his wife Kitty E. Capshaw; his son Jimmy F. Capshaw, Jr. (Teresa); his grandchildren, Chase Capshaw and Courtney Mancin (Trey); his great grandchildren, Tripp Capshaw, Matthias Mancin and Ryleigh Capshaw; his sisters, JoAnn Spencer and Cynthia Post; and his sister-in-law Vonzene Hand-Capshaw. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
