It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Ann Johnson McIlwain of Gilbertown, Alabama, who passed away on November 20, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Taylor Winston McIlwain; her parents, Joseph Benjamin Johnson and Dolly Ann Huff Johnson; and her sisters, Connie Houck and Dorothy Hobbs.
She is survived by: her sons, Timothy D. McIlwain (Judi) of Gilbertown, AL and Taylor "Richie" McIlwain (Lee) of Gilbertown, AL; her brother Benji Johnson (Kendra) of Prosper, TX; her grandchildren, Cara Roberts (Landrum) of Mobile, AL, Andrew McIlwain of Mobile, AL and Taylor McIlwain of Gilbertown, AL; and her great grandchildren, Judith Roberts and John Mark Roberts.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Phillips Funeral Home (116 Main St, Gilbertown, AL 36908). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gilbertown Cemetery (3737 Crimson, Gilbertown, AL 36908).
