He was predeceased by: his father Irvin Holifield; and his grandparents, Edward James and Dorothy "Dot" Sellers James. He is survived by: his mother Merle Dean James Holifield; his children, Derek Anthony Holifield of Toxey, AL and Shena "Baby Girl" Holifield Busby of Toxey, AL; his siblings, Timothy "Tim" Holifield (Iris) of Gilbertown, AL and Sherry Holifield Delaune (Paul) of Loxley, AL; and his grandson Jaxon Christopher Busby.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home (116 Main St, Gilbertown, AL 36908). A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Barrytown Cemetery (3737 Crimson, Gilbertown, AL 36908).
