She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry and Doris Canoles McDonald; and her siblings, Sharon Johnson, Cathy Adams, Susan McDonald and Lee McDonald.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Dodd; her children, Kris Dodd (Trisha) and Lesli Thomas; her grandchildren, Gracie, Hannah, Audrie, Allie Dodd, Sarah and Janie Thomas; her great grandchild Elizabeth Rose Thomas; and her siblings, Mark McDonald (Janet) and Julia Jones (Joe). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel (981 AL-253, Winfield, AL 35594). The lying in state will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at the Sprinkle Cemetery.
