We announce the death of Alice Faye Thomas Spivey of Glenwood, Alabama, who passed away on September 28, 2026, at the age of 87. Alice will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivynell Thomas and Harris A. Thomas; her brothers, Ronald Thomas and Donald Thomas; and her sister-in-law Doris Thomas.
She is survived by: her husband Leslie Spivey; her sisters, Debra Sanders and Dot Helms (Lex); her nephews, Marcus Sanders, Brandon Helms and Blakely Helms; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Hunter Helms, Madalyn Helms, MacDaniel Helms, Parker Sanders and Sage Sanders; her stepsons, Ashley (Heather), Jarrod (Dee) and Kyle (Mildred); and her sister-in-law Dot Thomas. She is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dillard Funeral Home (206 Old Hwy 231 N, Troy, AL 36081). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
