She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Floyd Allen Cumbie and Onie Mae McGinnis Cumbie; her siblings, Betty Futral, Beverly Cochran (Gene) and Jim Cumbie (Terri); her sister-in-law Brenda Cumbie; her husband Sherril "Coon" Nickolson; and her brother Jack Cumbie. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Radney Funeral Home (1326 Dadeville Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010). The lying in state was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Goodwater Baptist Church (160 S Main St, Goodwater, AL 35072). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
She encouraged everyone to walk a path of faith, to hold onto hope, and to practice charity, teaching by example that the greatest of these is love.
