She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald Lightsey Jr.; her parents, Otis Simpson and Marvin Simpson; and her siblings, James, Jesse, Gene, Turman Simpson, Beatrice Bates and Kathryn Hutton.
She is survived by: her children, Richard (Mary), Anna (Barry) and Amanda (Scott); and her sisters, Virgina Browning and Elsie Lightsey. She is also survived by five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
