He was predeceased by : his parents, Lee Allen Nelson and Hazel Dean Nelson; his daughter Emily Elisha "Lisa" Nelson; his grandson William Bradford Nelson; his former life partner Memory Annis Saxon Nelson; and his siblings, Betty Jean Nelson Culver and Michael Arnold Nelson.
He is survived by : his wife Eddie Hampton Nelson of Goodwater; his sons, William Allen "Al" Nelson (Carlene) of Augusta, GA and Gregory Lee Nelson (Tippa) of Deatsville, AL; his stepchildren, Stephanie H. Jennings of Alexander City and Thomas Michael Hampton (Yvette) of Alexander City; his grandsons, Christopher Allen Nelson (Jessica), Joshua Lee Nelson (Ranae), Matthew Nelson (Jessica), Tyler Michael Hampton (Kelsey), Jackson Jennings, Christopher Jennings (Heather), Justin Cotney and Josh Cotney; his great grandchildren, Jensen Ray Nelson, River Kell Nelson, Carson Hunter Nelson, Colton Lee Nelson, Rylee Ann Hampton, Lilly Hampton, Daxton Cotney, Dayton Cotney and Everlynn Jennings; and his brothers, Roy Dean Nelson, Donald Wayne Nelson (Carol) and Jack Curtis Nelson (Mona).
