He was predeceased by: his wife Tina Marie Hammett; his father Horace Ben Hammett; his brother Jim Hammett; and his siblings-in-law, Kenneth Martin and Kathy G. Hammett.
He is survived by: his mother Mary Virginia Snoddy Hammett; and his siblings, Julie H. Martin and Bill Hammett. He is also survived by niece and three nephews.
