It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Stephens Jr. of Gordo, Alabama, born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, who passed away on October 26, 2021, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his former life partner Christy June Stephens; his son Christopher David Stephens; his wife Debbi Gregg Stephens; and his parents, William David Stephens, Sr. and Mary Edgeworth Stephens.

He is survived by : his children, Jason Stephens (Kristal Latham Stephens), Todd Stephens and Margaret Leighanne Gregg; his sister Denise Brazeal; and his grandchildren, Gabe Stephens, Logan Stephens, Emma Stephens and Lilly Stephens.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Gideons International, Pickens County Camp, P.O. Box 287, Carrollton, AL 35447.

Stephen Eagle wrote a sympathy message

“I've known and appreciated "Gordo" Dave since 2008, viz Amateur Radio KB9IWS in Trenton, Tennessee. I spoke with Dave on Sunday before he passed at which time he told me he had a stroke a few days before that. What a a tragedy for him to have to pass alone. Dave had numerous friends and acquaintances. in the radio world and in his personal life.To the family: Godo Dave is with the Lord now and watching over you May he have all the peace he so richly deserves.”
