She was predeceased by : her husband George Larry Porter; her son-in-law Tim Foster; and her parents, William Raymond Platt and June Caroline Robinson Platt. She is survived by : her children, Desirae Foster of Gordo, LaDawn Nevel (Kerry) of Reform and Duane Porter (Bobbie) of Gordo; her siblings, Betty Ann Platt of Northport and Bill Platt (Mary) of Anaheim Hills, CA; her grandchildren, Daniel Porter (Danielle), Colby Porter (Madison), Lilly Porter, Heidi Porter, Tasha Reyes (Danny) and Steven Foster (Juan); and her great grandchildren, Rhett Walker, Christopher Brown and Bonita Reyes (Katie Porter).

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
