He was predeceased by: his sister Vickie Jo Reece (Jerry Reece); his father-in-law Stanford Branyon; his brother-in-law Marvin Duren; and his parents, James Irvin Guy and Jo Doris Corr Guy.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa Branyon Guy; his children, April Shoults (Eric), Alison Wheatley (Josh) and Austin Guy (Katie); his siblings, Scott Guy (Patricia), Patsy Duren and Tracy Malone (Frankie); and his grandchildren, Ellis Shoults, Grayden Wheatley, Lenny Guy, Cora Shoults, Levi Wheatley and Ellie Guy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Skelton Funeral Home (2105 2nd St SW, Reform, AL 35481). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Flatwoods Baptist Church (778 Flatwoods Rd, Gordo, AL 35466).
