He was predeceased by : his brother Randy Junkin; and his parents, Thomas Frederick Junkin and Audine Beams Junkin. He is survived by : his wife Linda Junkin; his children, Amanda Junkin, Dana Junkin and Chad Junkin (Amanda); his siblings, Kenneth Junkin and Pamela Junkin Hayes (Jody); and his grandchildren, Colt Junkin, Thomas Floyd and Tristan Floyd.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association, Alabama Chapter, 1 Metroplex Drive, Birmingham, AL 35209 or to Double Branch Independent Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 9250 Hwy 159 N., Gordo, AL 35466.
