She was predeceased by : her husband Roger Randall "Buddy" Pate; her brother Frank McDowell; her siblings-in-law, Joan McDowell, Melba Wheat (J. C.) and Price Elmore; and her father John William McDowell.
She is survived by : her brother James Larry McDowell (Barbara); her sisters-in-law, Linda McDowell Hill (William Hill) and June P. Elmore; her nieces and nephews, Michael McDowell (Heather), Greg McDowell, John McDowell (Rachelle), Vicki Broder (O'Neal), Tony Elmore (Laura Lee), Oscar Pate (Trina) and Tina Fike (Michael); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Mira, Max, Lucy, Savanah, Dion, Justin, Kori, Hilary, John Caleb, Landon, Gracie, Jacob, Matthew, Meredith, Melissa, Michael, Ben and Brian; and also, Will Jackson, Hadley and Chandler.
