It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Arlin Pugh of Gordon, Alabama, born in Evergreen, Alabama, who passed away on July 6, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lenora Pugh and James Pugh; and his brothers, Harry Pugh, Marion Pugh, Edsel Davis, George Pugh and Bradley Pugh.

He is survived by: his daughters, Brandee Pugh and Kiersten Pugh (Brad Whitehead); his grandchildren, Ashton Ward (Haley) and Jaylee Goodson (Peyton); his great grandchildren, Rowan, Mila and Avery Collins; his brothers, Frank Pugh (Shirley) and Winston Pugh (Sandy); and his close friend Michael Peterson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
