She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Wharton and Rosie Wharton; her daughter Gloria; and her children-in-law, Rita Lawrence, Neal Brizendine and Benny Hubbard.

She is survived by: her children, Marie Tuggle (Floyd) of Tn, Edna Brizendine, Marilyn Hubbard of Grant, Jimmy Lawrence of Grant, Ala., Johnny Lawrence (Glinda) of Huntsville, Ala. and Jackie Lawrence of Valhermosa Springs, Ala.; and her brother Lonzo Wharton. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-children, great great- grandchildren also numerous nieces and nephews.
