He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Joyce Gray; his parents, Dora Dailey Gray and Johnny Virgil Gray; and his siblings, Mildred Williamson, Virgil L. Gray, James D. Gray, Eleanor Fulmer, Shelby Potts and J. Garland Gray.
He is survived by: his daughters, Regina Thomas (Charles) and Sheree Morgan (Harley); his grandchildren, Shawn Jones (Leigh Ann), John Ryan, Mitchell Ryan, Amanda Phillips (Dusty), Joshua Ryan (Robin) and Tara Ballard; and his great grandchildren, Tristyn Jones, James Moore (Ansley), Houston Jones, Gray Phillips and Rowdy Ballard.
