With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John C. Jay Jr. of Greensboro, Alabama, who passed away on November 1, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sons, John C. Jay, III and Thomas Kinard Jay; his brother William Jay; and his parents, John C. Jay, Sr. and Willie Kay Johnson Jay.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Jay; his children, Fran Jay Cox (Ronnie) and Ervin Jay (Susu); his grandchildren, R. J. Cox (Lauren) of Demopolis, Jackson Jay Cox, Bess Jay of Charlotte, James Jay of Auburn and Emily Jay Neuhoff (Thomas) of Tyler; his great grandchildren, Preston Cox, Mattie Neuhoff, Trip Neuhoff and Jay Neuhoff; his daughter-in-law Gina Jay; his sister-in-law Anne Jay; his sister Charlotte True; and the mother of his children Louise Holbrook Jay.
