She was predeceased by : her parents, Rolland Theodore Rudd and Dolly Mae Clack Rudd. She is survived by : her husband Charles Melvin Cothran, Sr.; her children, Heather Marie Cothran Newberry (Jeffrey), Charles Melvin "Chip" Cothran, Jr. (Shannon) and Theodore Madison "Ted" Cothran (Kimberly); her siblings, Cheryl Rudd Tidwell, Bonney Rudd Block, Robin Rudd and Dale Rudd; and her grandchildren, Ben, Madi, Aurora, Escher, Jonah, Gracie and Hadley.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to Greensboro Presbyterian Church.
