We are sad to announce that, on January 31, 2026, at the age of 91, Kate Woods of Grove Oak, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Kate is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Kate's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Robertson and Maggie Robertson; her husband Ed Woods; her son Stanley Wade Light; and her siblings, Glenda Robertson Oliver and Wendell Robertson.
She is survived by: her siblings, Mildred Stanfield, Melba Rogers, Lanny Robertson (Leesha Perrin), Sydney Stanfield and H. D. Rogers (Jeanette Robertson).
