He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoyt Chaffin and Maxine Chaffin. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Lolley Chaffin; his children, Kelley Chaffin Shirley (Scott) of Trussville, Jared Douglas Chaffin (Amber) of Chelsea and Kacie Chaffin Aston (Matthew) of Trussville; his grandchildren, Christian Shirley, Jase and Judah Chaffin; his children, Harper, Lincoln and Evie Jo Aston; his siblings, Cary, Greg Chaffin and Susan Chaffin McCarley; and his siblings' children, Brooke McCarley and Dallas Chaffin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Samaritan's Purse.
