He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorman Godfrey and Susie Steptoe Godfrey. He is survived by: his wife Carla Miller Godfrey; his children, April Godfrey, Rejina Godfrey, Zakarra Godfrey Williams, Geary Godfrey Jr. and Marcus Godfrey; and his siblings, Sharon Jackson and Sgt. Calvin Jackson. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, and a Great Grandchild.
