She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee and Pearl Buchanan; and her siblings, Robert L. Buchanan Jr., Edward Buchanan, Evelyn Ware and Frances Byrum.
She is survived by: her husband Roy R. Pearce Jr.; her children, Kenneth E. Hand and Joann Hand; her siblings, Donald Buchanan (Teresa), James Buchanan (Linda), Patsy Smith and Thelma Staggs; and her grandchildren, Eric Hand, Robert Hand, Steven Hand, Chris Frazier, Jeffery Kimbrough and Levi Hawkins. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carr Funeral Home (1960 Obrig Ave, Guntersville, AL 35976). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
