He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Isom and Mary Ann Isom. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Isom; his children, John C. Isom (Kelly), Dalton Burks (Tianna), Nathaniel Burks, Forest Burks, Amanda McCormack (Mike) and Brittney Shaneyfelt (Wesley); and his grandchildren, Landon McCormack Owen McCormack, Braxton Shaneyfelt, Ivalee Shaneyfelt, Luke Isom, Libby Isom, Abigail Lynch, Jon David Lynch and Jacob Burks.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Carr Funeral Home (1960 Obrig Ave, Guntersville, AL 35976). A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Taylor Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Shepherds Cove Hospice.
