With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Nelson Lowden (Guntersville, Alabama), who passed away on April 30, 2026 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lowden and Annie Lowden. He is survived by: his wife Jenette; his children, Sue Sampson, Richard Jr. Lowden (Sherry), Preston Lowden (Susan), Jason Lowden (Tara), Brian Lowden (Jennifer) and Steve Lowden (Toni); and his siblings, Margaret Koontz, Terry Lowden, John Lowden and Julia Laney. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Carr Funeral Home (1960 Obrig Ave, Guntersville, AL 35976). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
