He is survived by: his wife Jody Lewis Long; his children, Serena Ann Long, Makayla Shae Long, Joseph Dewayne Long and Baylee Alexis Long; his mother Sheila Hannah Long; and his sister Amanda Long Karlsen. He is also survived by many in laws; and tons of beloved nieces and nephews.

A burial was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Brown Cemetery (1150 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760).
