With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Hewlett Younger (Gurley, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 18, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Myrtle Payne Hewlett and Thomas Edwin Hewlett; her significant other Henry Nimitz Younger; her children, Charles Edwin Younger (Pam) and Carmen Younger Sloan (Kenny); her grandson Cannon Younger Sloan; her friends, Shirley Miller, Faye Gibbs and Nancy Chandler; her caregivers, Dimple Patterson, Carolyn Putman, Kathy Sisk and Love; Diana.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Gurley Methodist Church in Janet's memory.
