He was predeceased by : his parents, Carolyn Jean Thompson Lyda and Joseph Wesley Lyda. He is survived by : his former life partner Lauretta Winters; his children, Joseph Curtiss and Kayla Winters Steele (Cooper); and his siblings, Mike Winters, Terry Winters (Denise), Rhonda Smith and Fran Atterton (Phillip). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
