He was predeceased by: his parents, Danny Locklear and Shirley Locklear. He is survived by: his wife Angie Pettyjohn Locklear; his sons, Eric Locklear (Britney) of Huntsville and Justin Locklear of Gurley; his sister Michelle Henderson (Michael) of Fort Payne; his grandchildren, Sam, Olive and James Locklear of Huntsville; his siblings-in-law, Tim Pettyjohn of Section, Donald Joe, Freda Hughes of Gaylesville, Dewayne and Kim Gregg of Cedar Bluff; his mother-in-law Nettie Pettyjohn; his stepbrothers, Jimmy Dean (Beth) and David Dean (Jo); and his stepmother Joyce Locklear. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Although he suffered several years from Parkinson's, he never complained.
