He was predeceased by: his parents, Dee Brooks and Elvie Brooks; his wife Ruby Brooks; his daughter Margaret Capelton; and his grandson Branden Capelton.
He is survived by: his sons, Phillip Brooks and Danny Brooks (Karen); his son-in-law Charles Capelton; his sister Mary Fuller (Darrell); and his grandchildren, Amber Counts (Jason), Ryan Brooks (Lise), Andrea Brooks, Kristen Sanders (Dylan) and Jessica Amos (Rory). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
