He was predeceased by : his parents, Jessie Lee Wilson and Gracie Page Wilson; his sister Ila Shedd; his nephew Willard Chris Vanzant; and his close friend Alfie Smith.

He is survived by : his daughters, Elizabeth Reyes (Victor) and Cassandra Brown (Jaron); his grandchildren, Darren Holcomb, Jayden Box, Mason Reyes, Samuel Brown, Hannah Brown and Harley Brown; and his nephews, Chuck Shedd and Kenny Petty.
