He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Sawyer and Louise Hester of Parrish, Alabama.; his wife Gail Sawyer; his granddaughter Ajah Sawyer; and his brother Ronald Sawyer.
He is survived by: his sons, David Sawyer, Jeremy Sawyer and Terrell Sawyer; his grandchildren, Emma Sawyer and Blake Sawyer; and his siblings, Karen Higginbotham (David), Cheryl Freeman and Dewayne Hester (Misty). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Nichols Funeral Home - Haleyville (1607 11th Ave, Haleyville, AL 35565). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
