We announce the death of Robert Lloyd Gillespie of Haleyville, Alabama, who passed away on October 10, 2026, at the age of 71. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Gillespie and Peggy Gillespie; his brother Billy Gillespie; his son-in-law Stanley Jones; his grandchildren, Michaela Battles and Zachary Gillespie; and his parents-in-law, Arlon Glasgow and Bea Glasgow.

He is survived by: his wife Tammie Gillespie; his children, Robbie Gillespie, Tiffany Gillespie, Brittany Gillespie (Gary), Bethany Jones, Kathy Quillen, Trey Gillespie and Lisa Hovater, Jr.; his grandchildren, Faith Nesbitt (Zack), Hope Battles (Austin), Kameran Reed, Zoe Jones, Liam Gillespie, Judah Gillespie, Dylon Ricks, Dillon Hollis, Austin Hollis, Bradley Hollis, Cody and Ace Gillespie; his great grandchildren, MJ, Avani Mitchell, Aiden and Adalyn Nesbitt; and his sister Susie Gillespie. He is also survived by relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Shoals Church of Christ (1617 US-72, Tuscumbia, AL 35674).
