She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Bates and Rosa Lee Venable; and her granddaughter Brookelynn Lilly May McGough. She is survived by: her daughters, Megan Bates and Robin Brooke Milligan (Charles Hayden); her grandchildren, Joshlynn Emily Rose Ergle, Dixie Anne Faith Ergle and Chloe Chrisha Rain Ergle; her siblings, Donald Shane Bates (Candace Richardson), Bill Arp Bates (Savanna) and Ashley Bates; and her nieces, Skylar Whitney Bates and Annabelle Dickard. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Nichols Funeral Home (1607 11th Ave, Haleyville, AL 35565). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
