She was predeceased by : her father Malcolm; and her brother Danny McDaniel. She is survived by : her husband Gene Sanderson; her children, Teresa Hammitte (Mark), Scotty Sanderson (Leslie) of Hamilton, AL and Allen Sanderson (Karen) of Birmingham, AL; her grandchildren, Hannon McDaniel Sanderson (Hannah), Harris Mobley Sanderson (Leah), Peyton Sanderson, Gracie Sanderson, Zachary Hammitte (Taylor) and Jennifer Bryant (Zach); her great grandchildren, Liam Bryant and Lettie Bryant; and her sister Nancy Wilbanks (Dale) of Hamilton, AL..

Visitation was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church - Hamilton (430 1st Ave SW, Hamilton, AL 35570). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
