He was predeceased by: his parents, J. T. Shotts and Ann Shotts; and his grandparents, Thelma, Flossie Page, John and Viola Shotts.
He is survived by: his sister Carol; his children, Zac Shotts (Jennifer), Brandy Shotts (Melissa), Jon Chase Shotts (Claire) and Brooke Miller (Seth); and his grandchildren, Savannah, Samantha, Susannah, Tinsley, Samuel, Nathaniel and Jackson Cole. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Nichols Marion County Funeral Home (3325 Bexar Ave E, Hamilton, AL 35570). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
