“Bill was my pastor at the Ensley, AL Church of the Nazarene, following Rev. H. H. Hooker. Though only a toddler, I have vivid memories of Mom taking me to visit "Mama Sasser" so she could cut my hair or feed me fudgecicles while my sister, Diane, and Mark were at school. My parents, Gene & Harriet Guthrie, held Bill & Retha in high esteem...the highest compliment. My folks are in heaven now. I trust they have a reunion soon.
