He is survived by: his wife Augusta Frances Chism Sanford; and his sibling's children, James Sanford Cresswell (Cindy), Richard Arnold Cresswell (Diane), Wallace Edgar Cresswell, II (Amy), Dennis Clyne Potter (Kay), Gary Michael Sanford, Garland Sanford Brock (Tammy), Sherry Aniece Potter Chesnutt (Bobby) and Karen Ann Sanford.
