He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Fanning and Annie Whaley Fanning; his wife Gearldine Young Fanning; his son Ricky "Rick" Fanning; and his sister Jean Mayfield.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherry McClure (Dewayne); his grandchildren, Kaylee Hasting, Dean Fanning, MaLeah Hunt, Meagan Yarbrough (Kevin), Warren Fanning, Nathan Fanning, Jonathan Fanning, LeAnn Miller and Josh McClure (Brianna); his great grandchildren, Paxleigh, Landon, Charlee, Preston and Savanna; and his sisters, Kathryn Watson and Norma Greer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many other loving family/friends.
