He was predeceased by: his father Raymond Chavers. He is survived by: his children, Scott Chavers (Rachel), Justin Chavers, Josh Chavers (Caitlin), Dallas Chavers (Leah), Jenny O'Connell (John), Penny Larsen (Dane) and Angela Gragg; and his siblings, Bobby Chavers (Melinda), Bruce Chavers (Tina) and Marcella Chavers. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
